Corporate HQ relocation

Change Management Strategy | Project Execution


Background: 

A leading global retailer, with a 100-year history of having its headquarters in the suburbs, faced rapid projected growth in an economy with a competitive war for talent. This led to an executive decision to relocate over 800 employees to a new HQ building in the heart of the city.


Solution: 

We spearheaded the Change Management Work-stream, ensuring strong executive sponsorship from Day 1. Our approach included:

  • Employee Engagement Plan: Developing a comprehensive plan to engage employees throughout the transition.
  • Communication Strategy: Implementing a multichannel communication strategy to keep employees informed and involved, including executive updates, Q&A sessions, newsletters, and group activities.
  • Training Program: Creating a robust training program to help employees navigate their new environment. This included training on new commute routes, wayfinding, conference room bookings, storage solutions, and amenity maps.


The strong engagement and thorough training ensured that the move was successful and had minimal disruption to business operations.

INTEGRATED FACILITY MANAGEMENT PARTNER SELECTION AND ONBOARDING

Background: 

A leading pharmaceutical company decided to run an RFP for their global integrated facility management scope of work, in search of the strategic partner to lead the execution of the workplace vision.


Solution: 

We led the work to analyze, vet and shape the business case to executive leadership for the selection of the new strategic partner of the North America geography. Once selected, we led the work to seamlessly onboard the new team, off board the legacy team and prepare for go-live. The work included:

  • Vendor due diligence, interviews, reference checks and site visits to deeply understand service capabilities, cost saving opportunities and history of success with similar clients.
  • Scope development across all soft and hard service lines including maintenance, custodial, plants, food services, meetings and events planning, hospitality, quality, health/safety and workplace technology solutions.
  • Knowledge transfer approach and tracking, ensuring key people, processes and ways of working were documented and transferred to the new partner effectively.
  • Key staff retention strategy development to mitigate operational risks of the transition through targeted change management and employee engagement tactics.


Our approach prepared this organization for the beginning of a new strategic partnership, with elevated service levels, delivering an exceptional employee experience.

GLOBAL HQ RE-STACK

Space Planning | Change Management | Project Management


Background: 

Following a significant organizational restructuring, this global footwear company needed to optimize team adjacencies across their 200,000 square foot location to maximize the impact of the newly formed flying formation.


Solution: 

We led a comprehensive initiative to understand and address the unique needs of each team.

  • Stakeholder Inputs: We conducted multiple interviews with executive stakeholders to gather insights on strategic goals. We also held focus groups with subject matter experts to understand each team's specific working methods and requirements.
  • Space Planning: We developed tailored proposals for each function, addressing their needs for storage solutions, project spaces, war rooms, and product display infrastructure.
